Manufacturer’s Description
Despite its lightweight style, it still utilises the highest quality components and materials, like a 10.1 inch high resolution display with its proper aspect ratio, which delivers sharper and brighter images, as well as the most accurate playback of movies and related content.
Thanks to its class-leading engineering optimised processing performance, the N130 also boasts an impressive battery life, so you can easily keep surfing for longer. With an array of sophisticated wireless communications and data sharing technology the N130 really has everything that you need for life on the move – at a price you can afford.

Think this is a great piece of kit, especially for the price. It’s very lightweight and has good battery life, some 6hrs or more. The screen is excellent having watched a couple of movies on it quite happily. The supplied software is preloaded so works almost straight out of the box. The Samsung utilities are pretty good and easy to use. I am using it mainly for working on the go so the portability issue is important to me. Like the idea of the anti bacterial keyboard. Haven’t tried the webcam yet.
Drawbacks (if any) the screensize for some web pages and only one speaker, so a pair of reasonable headphones is a must.
I would recommend the following to use with this:
A decent pair of headphones or portable speakers, 2g memory upgrade,a small portable mouse,a portable DVD drive, and a small padded backpack or bag to keep it all in.
All in all very pleased with this and more than happy with Amazon for their pricing and quick delivery of it. If you want a low cost but decent spec’d netbook then this is it.
I needed a budget, light-weight netbook for travelling across the world. I reluctantly left my usual laptop (MacBook Pro) behind as it was just too valuable for the kind of trip I had planned.
While I am not a big fan of MS Windows the little Samsung N130 netbook served me well. It’s Samung’s budget netbook. However, it comes with a fairly decent spec given the price. It is certainly enough to check your email on the go, do some web browsing, use Skype and create word documents – exactly the stuff I needed to do while travelling. I even managed to watch movies I had downloaded from iTunes. And if someone had nicked it the financial loss wouldn’t have been enormous.
All in all, it does exactly what it is meant to do. I would not recommend it as your only laptop / computer given it’s small screen and lack of speed. But for travelling it’s excellent.
I received my N130 netbook today and I am so pleased with it. Excellent value, reasonable spec, very good looking, portable and very easy to set up. I would highly recommend this netbook.
